J.Eubank & L.P. Almazlinos

J.Eubank & L.P. Almazlinos is the small natural-wine project of Joshua Eubank and Lara Peso, working in one of Catalunya's wildest and least-known wine zones.

The Region

The wines are made in the Terra Alta, the southernmost wine district of Catalunya in the province of Tarragona, with fruit from around Pinell de Brai. This is high, dry country traditionally planted to Garnacha and Cariñena, where a small group of growers has revived natural winemaking.

Winemaking

Eubank and Peso work closely with Laureano Serres, the former computer programmer turned natural-wine pioneer behind Mendall in Pinell de Brai, and their cuvee La Tina de Laureano nods directly to that connection. The wines are made in the low-intervention tradition of the area, built on organically grown fruit and native fermentation.

The Wines

Their bottlings include La Tina de Laureano, a Garnacha-based red, and Gracies Pepito, a red blend drawing on Garnacha and Muscat of Alexandria, along with other small cuvees such as Escollades.

Detailed, fully verified information on this partnership is limited, so this profile is kept brief and confined to facts that could be confirmed.
