Gamay Pinot Noir 2020

Lo-Fi Wines • 750ml

$26.95

Lo-Fi Wines Gamay Pinot Noir is a red natural wine made from hand harvested and organically grown, 100% whole cluster carbonic fermentation Gamay and Pinot Noir grapes from California. Each varietal was fermented separately and picked at different times. Pumped over once daily after which the top was again sealed and the fermenter was gassed using carbon dioxide. Fermented on the native yeasts, followed by full malolactic by naturally occurring bacteria. Fermentation lasted for 8 days then pressed and racked into vessels for aging. The Pinot Noir was tank-aged while the Gamay was aged in neutral French barrels. After 4 months the wines were racked and blended together then put back down into barrel for an additional 3 months. A total Of 25 ppm so2 was added prior to bottling without filtration in keeping with our minimalist (lo-fi) philosophy. (source: Lo-Fi Wines)

The Producer: Lo-Fi Wines

Lo-Fi is a partnership between two lifelong friends who believe in hand-crafted honest wines that are made for everyday drinking. Wines to be enjoyed not to be collected. Easy drinking lower alcohol wines made to pair well with all types of foods, from pizza to paté.

We believe in neutral barrels, native yeasts, little to no sulfur additions, and no adjustment of pH. We love whole cluster fermentation. We adore carbonic maceration . We embrace a nothing added, nothing taken away philosophy that gives birth to wines that are young, vibrant and alive.

But in all reality Lo-Fi is less about what it is and more about what it is not. It is not over manipulated. It is not over-extracted. It is not overripe and it is not overpriced.

Less is more.

Drink up!

Mike & Craig.

Shipping & Returns

Stress Free Shipping

At Primal Wine we like to be transparent about everything we do. When it comes to buying products online, shipping is the most important aspect, and that’s why we take great care in shipping and handling your order using only 100% recycled packaging material.

Re-shipping

If a package gets returned to us after three failed delivery attempts, we can only re-ship the wine upon payment of a re-shipping fee. Shipping wine is extremely expensive, we are sorry about this, but we have no other choice. Please make sure there's always someone at the address you enter as your shipping address.

Important Compliance Requirements

UPS and other carriers we might occasionally use can only deliver wine to customers who are 21 years or older.

Important COVID Update

UPS and FedEx declared that in order to protect their workers and customers, they no longer require a signature on delivery. This does not mean they will drop a wine box at your door. UPS delivery workers will make sure the person receiving the wine is 21 years or older, and will ask for his/her name - only then do they deliver the package.

Shipping Rates and Options

An important premise: wine bottles are heavy – about 3 pounds each – and shipping is expensive! Primal Wine is not backed by venture capital money – we proudly are a mom and pop independent online store – and we must charge shipping on all orders, otherwise we wouldn’t be in business. However, we try our best to offer you very competitive shipping rates.

Return Policy

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us at (424) 414-2040 or via e-mail at hello@primalwine.com between 9 am and 5 pm Pacific Standard Time, Monday through Sunday, we would like to understand and try to solve your concerns.

We may make arrangements for a return and refund if appropriate, and only after we receive unopened products back to our warehouse.
