The Wine: Resist Ruche' 2020
Hollow Wines Resist Ruche' is a red natural wine made from Ruche' farmed organically in the San Benito Valley AVA. Here's how winemaker Quinn Hobbs describes it: "The Ruché is the best representation of San Benito AVA and the Piedmont Region of Italy clashing together in an exuberant and wild wine! Unfined, unfiltered, transition organic farming practices, vegan, wild yeast, nothing but sulfites added. This wine is Hollow Wines unapologetically winning".
The Producer: Hollow Wines
Hollow Wine is the brainchild of Quinn Hobbs, who's also an amazing surfer, and a friend. Quinn is obsessed with surfing, mountain biking, making low-intervention wine, and the color pink. But he's also completing his Ph.D. in Policy! Mind-blowing. He learned how to make low-intervention wine in Australia and can be seen in scouring the Central Coast looking for cool obscure Italian varietals such as Ruche' and Greco – all for sales on Primal folks, we got the full lineup from the man himself.
