We made our first mindful natural ferment in 2002 and from the very beginning it was a lightbulb moment. Intuitively it felt very right, we have made many mistakes, had significant setbacks but all along the desire to follow this path hasn’t weakened. As we have discovered others on a similar path to ours we have felt encouraged and validated by our earlier decisions. If people can see this joy in our wines would be the ultimate reward. We are at heart farmers, the act of creation from earth, plant and climate is encapsulated by ferment into our unique expression, our expression is our voice among many which hopefully is a chorus to lead humanity back to the earth.

At Primal Wine we like to be transparent about everything we do. When it comes to buying products online, shipping is the most important aspect, and that’s why we take great care in shipping and handling your order using only 100% recycled packaging material.

UPS and other carriers we might occasionally use can only deliver wine to customers who are 21 years or older.
Important COVID Update
UPS and FedEx declared that in order to protect their workers and customers, they no longer require a signature on delivery. This does not mean they will drop a wine box at your door. UPS delivery workers will make sure the person receiving the wine is 21 years or older, and will ask for his/her name - only then do they deliver the package.
Shipping Rates and Options
An important premise: wine bottles are heavy – about 3 pounds each – and shipping is expensive! Primal Wine is not backed by venture capital money – we proudly are a mom and pop independent online store – and we must charge shipping on all orders, otherwise we wouldn’t be in business. However, we try our best to offer you very competitive shipping rates.

We may make arrangements for a return and refund if appropriate, and only after we receive unopened products back to our warehouse.
