The Wine: Polisia Piceno Superiore 2017
Vigneti Vallorani Polisia Piceno Superiore is a red natural wine made from a blend of certified organic Sangiovese and Montepulciano grown in Marche region, Central Italy. The southern-exposed vines are 70% 55 years old, and 30% 35 years old, and grow on medium lean to argillaceous clay and marl soils. Cold maceration, spontaneous fermentation with native yeast, long maceration post-fermentation; the wine is aged for 16 months minimum in stainless-steel tank on the yeast lees, stirred weekly, and the 12 months in the bottle.
Beautiful nose with red fruit with spice and round tannins, this is a medium to full body wine to be paired with red meat or earthy pasta such as Marche's typical dish Vincisgrassi. Serving temperature: 55 F.

We refuse the use of any corrective measures aware of our role as custodians of an environment and a landscape, the Marche region, evolved over the centuries thanks to the meticulous work of local farmers. Our wines reflect the soul of the territory in which they are born, taking with them a wealth of history, traditions and personality. (source: Vigneti Vallorani)
