Visintini

Visintini is a family-owned winery located in Corno di Rosazzo, within the Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC area of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy. The estate's history dates back to 1290, with the Visintini family acquiring the property, including the remnants of the medieval Gramogliano Castle, in 1884. Today, the winery is managed by siblings Oliviero, Cinzia, and Palmira Visintini, who oversee approximately 32 hectares of vineyards. The vineyards are situated on Eocene marl and sandstone soils at elevations around 200 meters, benefiting from a favorable microclimate and optimal sun exposure.

Committed to sustainable agriculture, Visintini practices certified organic and biodynamic viticulture. The winery emphasizes minimal intervention, aiming to preserve the natural characteristics of the grapes and terroir. Their portfolio includes both indigenous and international grape varieties, such as Friulano, Ribolla Gialla, Picolit, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, and Cabernet.

In the cellar, Visintini employs a combination of traditional and modern techniques. Fermentation typically occurs in stainless steel tanks to maintain freshness, while select wines are aged in oak barrels or amphorae to enhance complexity. The winery also features a tasting room and a panoramic terrace overlooking the Colli Orientali hills, offering visitors an immersive experience into their winemaking philosophy.

Visintini's dedication to quality and respect for tradition have positioned them as a notable producer in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region. Their wines are recognized for their purity, balance, and expression of the unique terroir of the Colli Orientali del Friuli.
