Product Description

Notre Terre Vin de France Blanc 2024 is a personal project from Brunnhilde Claux, who has led Domaine de Courbissac in the Minervois since 2013. The wine blends Grenache Noir and Terret Gris, both direct-pressed and vinified as white wine. Grapes come from biodynamic vineyards farmed under Demeter certification since 2002. After gentle pressing, Notre Terre Vin de France Blanc 2024 ferments with indigenous yeasts and ages nine months in amphora. Bottling happens without fining, filtration, or added sulfites. Brunnhilde trained at Domaine Gauby and Terroir al Limit before settling in Languedoc.

Tasting notes

Pale gold with a slight haze. The nose is understated yet layered: stone fruit, citrus peel, and a subtle saline quality. On the palate, round orchard fruit meets bright acidity and a savory mineral thread from amphora aging. The finish is dry, fresh, and persistent with lingering salinity.

Food pairings

Brandade de morue, grilled sardines, bouillabaisse, tapenade, fresh chèvre, roasted vegetables, ceviche, herb-crusted fish, ratatouille.

Important Compliance Requirements

FedEx and other carriers we might occasionally use can only deliver wine to customers who are 21 years or older. Someone must be at the address to receive the package, carriers don't just drop a package and leave. They must ensure the person receiving the wine is 21 or older.

Re-shipping a Package

If a package gets returned to us after three failed delivery attempts, we can only re-ship the wine upon payment of a re-shipping fee to be determined based on shipping address and number of bottles. Shipping wine is extremely expensive, we are sorry about this, but we have no other choice. Please make sure there's always someone at the address you enter as your shipping address.

If you'd like to receive a refund for a package that was returned to us after FedEx made three delivery attempts, we can do that but we must keep a $20 refund fee; FedEx charges us a lot of money for returns, unfortunately, I can't stress this enough.

Re-routing a Package

If you'd like to re-route a package after it's been shipped, we can do so upon payment of a $20 re-routing fee. We cannot re-route a package across state borders. For any change of address, please contact us as soon as possible, ideally within 1-2 days from placing the order or we cannot guarantee we'll be able to reroute or change your order's shipping address.

Canceling an Order

If you'd like to cancel an order after it's been shipped, we can do so upon payment of a small cancelling fee – the amount depends on how big the order is. Carriers charge us a lot of money to recall a package en-route.

Heat/Frost damage

We are not responsible for heat/frost-related issues. We offer ice-packs upon request. please let us know should you think that there could be heat-related issues. If we don't hear anything from you regarding weather issues before an order is shipped, or if you don't request a hold due to the weather, we are not responsible for heat/frost damage.

Producer profile

La Cabotte

Brunnhilde Claux launched Notre Terre in 2019 as a personal project alongside her work at Domaine de Courbissac, where she has served as vigneronne since 2013. The name translates to "Our Earth," reflecting her belief that terroir should be the driving force in winemaking. The label features an image of Ceres, the Roman goddess of agriculture and fertility.

Brunnhilde built her winemaking foundation at two influential natural wine estates. She began at Domaine Gauby in Calce, Roussillon, where she learned to handle the natural exuberance of grapes grown in the generous Mediterranean climate. From there she moved to Terroir al Limit in Priorat, Spain, working three vintages with Dominik Huber before returning to France.

Domaine de Courbissac sits in Cesseras, within the boundaries of what could be designated La Livinière Premier Cru du Languedoc, though Brunnhilde does not apply for AOC status, preferring the flexibility of Vin de France. German film producer Reinhard Brundig founded the estate in 2002 and implemented biodynamic farming from the start. The property holds Demeter certification. Vineyards total 30 hectares in the commune of Mondragon on the Massif d'Uchaux plateau, with soils of chalky limestone and gravelly loam. An additional 1.5 hectares lie within Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

For Notre Terre, Brunnhilde isolates parcels of Grenache Noir and Terret Gris she is particularly fond of. The emphasis falls on whole bunches, concrete vats, and amphora aging with minimal intervention during a short élevage. Wines are bottled without fining, filtration, or added sulfites.

Wine region

Languedoc, France

Notre Terre Vin de France Blanc 2024 is made in southern France, in the Minervois, part of the broader Languedoc-Roussillon. This stretch of France borders Spain to the south and the Mediterranean Sea to the east, and its coastal position—paired with varied inland landscapes—has helped make it one of the country’s most dynamic regions for expressive, low-intervention wine today.

What defines the Minervois is range. Across Languedoc-Roussillon, the landscape creates multiple microclimates, and the soils run from limestone and clay to schist and gravel, giving growers a huge toolkit for balancing ripeness with freshness. Minervois itself is noted for a mix of limestone, clay, and schist, supporting diverse red, white, and rosé styles, often with a savory, mineral edge that feels tailor-made for food. The region’s climate is predominantly Mediterranean (hot, dry summers; mild, wetter winters), but topography and sea influence help preserve energy and lift in the finished wines.

Notre Terre is linked to Domaine de Courbissac, run by winemaker Brunnhilde Claux, based in the heart of the Minervois. The Blanc is described as a Languedoc white fermented in concrete amphorae, a choice that can emphasize purity and build gentle, savory texture without overt oak flavor. The result is a distinctly southern French white: sunlit fruit, herbal nuance, and a food-friendly shape that stays refreshing.
