The hoppiest of the Flying Embers cans and the strongest at 8.5%. Citra hops give it a bright citrus aroma with a pine edge, and the guava underneath keeps it tangy rather than bitter.
Flying Embers describe it as tropical, hoppy and imperial, which is a fair account of where it sits. Brewed with certified organic ingredients and fermented dry, so the can reads zero sugar and zero carbs.
Contains alcohol, 8.5% ABV. 12 fl oz.
A hard kombucha at 8.5% ABV, hopped with Citra, so it reads closer to a tropical IPA than to anything soft. Sweet-tangy guava underneath and a dry finish.
Cold, from the can or into a tumbler
Where you would otherwise reach for a hazy IPA
With anything spicy, since the fruit takes the edge off chilli heat
Alongside grilled or charred food, fish tacos in particular
Poured across two glasses, because 8.5% in a 12 oz can adds up quickly

Important information
Please read our shipping policy
This is one of the items fulfilled by our partner retailer in California. It will not ship together with our regular wine selection.
You will receive tracking information in 3-4 business days. Shipping time depends on location and on the shipping service selected at checkout.
The Brand
Flying Embers
Flying Embers was started in 2017 by Bill Moses, who had already co-founded KeVita and sold it to PepsiCo. Months later the Thomas Fire tore through Ventura County and came close enough to threaten both his home and the company's research facility.
The name comes from that fire. He watched the crews work through it, and the brand has given a share of its revenue to firefighter and first responder organisations ever since.
The kombucha is brewed with USDA certified organic ingredients and fermented dry, so the cans read zero sugar and zero carbs, with live probiotics and adaptogens. Made in California.
Pantry FAQs
Will this ship with my wine?
No, pantry items travel separately.
Pantry items are fulfilled by our partner retailer in California, so they ship on their own and will not arrive in the same box as your wine. Order both and you should expect two parcels, often on different days.
You will receive tracking for the pantry parcel within 3-4 business days.
Do I need to sign for the delivery?
No. Unlike wine, food does not need a signature.
Wine requires an adult signature on delivery. Pantry items do not, so they can be left at your door like any ordinary parcel.
Can I order pantry items on their own, without wine?
Yes, a pantry order stands on its own.
Yes. Nothing here is tied to a wine purchase. Shipping for pantry items is calculated separately at checkout.
How should I store it?
Check the label first.
Most of what we carry is shelf stable until it is opened, and would rather sit in a cool dark cupboard than on a sunny counter. Anything that needs refrigerating once opened says so on the label.
Something arrived damaged or wrong. What now?
Get in touch and we will sort it out.
Email us with your order number and a photo of the problem and we will make it right.
Why does a natural wine shop sell pantry items?
Because the bottle is rarely the whole evening.
These are things we actually cook with, picked by the same people who pick the wine. A good bottle tends to want something on the table next to it, and this is the shortlist we would hand a friend who asked.
