Awake is the loud one. Early harvest, cold-pressed Arbosana and Lecciana olives from small California family farms, and Brightland's highest polyphenol oil.

Picking olives early is what produces that peppery catch at the back of the throat. It is also what produces the polyphenols, so the bite and the chemistry are the same fact wearing two hats.

The Brand

Aishwarya Iyer started Brightland after reading how much of the olive oil sold in America is not what the label says it is. Her answer was to go the other way entirely: California olives from small family farms on the Central Coast and in the Valley, one harvest a year, named on the bottle.

The bottles are opaque and printed rather than glass and clear, because light is what turns good olive oil stale. It is a design decision that is really a shelf-life decision.

Pantry items are fulfilled by our partner retailer in California, so they ship on their own and will not arrive in the same box as your wine. Order both and you should expect two parcels, often on different days.
