Athletic Brewing Wit's Peak Non-Alcoholic Belgian-Style White, 12 oz

Price: $6.00

Athletic's take on a traditional witbier, and the style suits going alcohol-free better than most: a wit is carried by wheat, citrus and coriander rather than by strength.

Bright up front, soft and smooth underneath. It reads as a spring beer, which is what they were after.

12 oz can.

The Brand

Athletic Brewing Company

Athletic Brewing exists because Bill Shufelt could not get a decent non-alcoholic drink in a beer garden. He gave up alcohol in 2013, found that everything on offer was either sweet or awful, and in 2017 left a job at one of the world's largest hedge funds to fix it.

Everyone told him not to. Brewers did not want to make non-alcoholic beer, shops did not want to stock it and drinkers did not want to buy it. He brought in John Walker, a head brewer out of Santa Fe, and built the first brewery in the United States dedicated entirely to beer without alcohol, in Stratford, Connecticut.

It is now the largest and most decorated non-alcoholic brewery in the country, which is a reasonable return on being told no by an entire industry.

Pantry FAQs

Pantry items are fulfilled by our partner retailer in California, so they ship on their own and will not arrive in the same box as your wine. Order both and you should expect two parcels, often on different days.

You will receive tracking for the pantry parcel within 3-4 business days.

Wine requires an adult signature on delivery. Pantry items do not, so they can be left at your door like any ordinary parcel.

Yes. Nothing here is tied to a wine purchase. Shipping for pantry items is calculated separately at checkout.

Most of what we carry is shelf stable until it is opened, and would rather sit in a cool dark cupboard than on a sunny counter. Anything that needs refrigerating once opened says so on the label.

Email us with your order number and a photo of the problem and we will make it right.

These are things we actually cook with, picked by the same people who pick the wine. A good bottle tends to want something on the table next to it, and this is the shortlist we would hand a friend who asked.
