East Coast: 5 business days

Process time is not shipping time. Shipping time starts from the days successive to the day of shipping, after the order has been processed.

See here our shipping policy.

Signature on delivery is mandatory for wine deliveries. Please make sure someone is at the shipping address to sign for the package.

If applicable, please consider delivering the package to a business address to ensure someone is available to sign for the package.

We also have the option of delivering the package to a Carrier's store for pickup. Please reach out to us to coordinate.

Carrier will try to delivery a package up to three times before returning the package to us.

See here our shipping policy.

If you miss a delivery and a package gets returned to us we have two options:

1) Reship the package right away: due to the very high cost of shipping and returns, we must charge a re-shipping fee to be determined based on package size and shipping destination.

2) Consolidate the returned package with your next order: this option is free of charge and it's the most popular option.

Yes. Sulfites are one of the most common concerns among wine drinkers, and the collection reflects that. Natural wines on the site typically contain between 10 and 80 parts per million of total sulfites, compared to the 350 ppm allowed in conventional winemaking. Some producers add no sulfites at all, known as "zero-zero" wines. Classic and organic wines may contain slightly higher amounts, though still significantly less than most grocery store bottles. Every product page notes the sulfite level so shoppers can make an informed choice.

Yes, every wine in the Primal Wine collection is a dry wine. That means all the grape sugar has been fermented into alcohol during production, leaving behind no residual sweetness. This covers the reds, whites, rosés, orange wines, and sparkling bottles, including pétillant naturels. Dessert wines and sweetened styles are not part of the selection. For shoppers searching for sugar-free or low-sugar wine options, dry natural wine is a straightforward fit.

These three categories overlap but are not the same thing. Organic wine starts in the vineyard, where grapes are grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers. Biodynamic wine goes a step further, treating the vineyard as a living ecosystem and following a farming philosophy rooted in the work of Rudolf Steiner. Natural wine takes a broader approach: it begins with organically or biodynamically farmed grapes, then carries that minimal-intervention philosophy into the cellar through native yeast fermentation, no fining or heavy filtration, and little to no added sulfites. At Primal Wine, the collection includes all three categories alongside classic wines from producers in Italy, France, Germany, and Spain.

The collection draws from a wide range of regions. Italy and France make up a large portion of the selection, with bottles from producers working with grapes like Gamay, Montepulciano, Barbera, Nebbiolo, Chenin Blanc, and Verdicchio. Austria, Spain, and the United States, particularly California, Oregon, and Washington, are also well represented. The focus throughout is on small-batch, artisanal producers who farm organically or biodynamically and follow low-intervention practices in the cellar. New wines are added regularly as producers release new vintages and limited runs.
