The Producer: Jean-Marc Dreyer
Jean-Marc Dreyer is a natural winemaker based in Rosheim, Alsace, about 25km southwest of Strasbourg. Jean-Marc studied under Patrick Meyer, one of the pioneers of natural wine in Alsace, and has been inspired by the likes of Patrick Bouju, Jean-Louis Pinto, and Raphael Beysang. The vineyards extend over 6 hectares and are subdivided in 25 parcels, each with its own characteristics. Jean-Marc works naturally with local grape varietals such as Gewurztraminer, Riesling, Pinot Noir, and Muscat. His wines undergo extended maceration on the skins (skin-contact / orange wines), his reds are complex but they also have great freshness.
