Ritual has roasted in San Francisco since 2005, when Eileen Hassi Rinaldi opened on Valencia Street and effectively started the city's third wave.

Ace is one of their standing bags. No tasting notes are printed on it, which from a roaster this deliberate reads as a house coffee rather than a lot to study, the one that is meant to be there whenever you go back.

The Brand

Ritual Coffee Roasters

Eileen Hassi Rinaldi opened Ritual on Valencia Street in San Francisco's Mission in 2005, and it is generally treated as the cafe that started the city's third wave: roasting its own beans, naming the farm, and serving it in a room that took the brewing seriously.

Twenty years on it is still independent and still roasting in San Francisco, with cafes across the city and in Napa.

Pantry items are fulfilled by our partner retailer in California, so they ship on their own and will not arrive in the same box as your wine. Order both and you should expect two parcels, often on different days.

Most of what we carry is shelf stable until it is opened, and would rather sit in a cool dark cupboard than on a sunny counter. Anything that needs refrigerating once opened says so on the label.
