The standing advice is that you do not cook with extra virgin. Graza's answer is the Picual olive, which is stable enough to take the heat, and mid-harvest fruit, which gives a mellower oil than the early-picked Drizzle.

So it is still 100% extra virgin, it is just built for the pan rather than the plate. Roasting, sauteing, toasting, shallow frying.

The Brand

Graza

Graza was started in 2022 by Andrew Benin and Allen Dushi, after Benin tasted an olive oil while visiting his wife's family in Spain and could not find anything like it at home. The name comes from Grazalema, the village in Cadiz where that trip started.

They make one thing: single-variety Picual from Jaen, split into two bottles by what you are going to do with it. Sizzle comes from later, riper fruit and is built for heat. Drizzle comes off the early October harvest and goes on at the end. Same variety, different moment, different job.

The squeeze bottles were Benin's idea, arrived at while holding a bottle of Dr. Bronner's in the shower. They are the whole argument: good oil should be used freely, not rationed out of dark glass you are slightly afraid of.

Pantry FAQs

Pantry items are fulfilled by our partner retailer in California, so they ship on their own and will not arrive in the same box as your wine. Order both and you should expect two parcels, often on different days.

You will receive tracking for the pantry parcel within 3-4 business days.

Wine requires an adult signature on delivery. Pantry items do not, so they can be left at your door like any ordinary parcel.

Yes. Nothing here is tied to a wine purchase. Shipping for pantry items is calculated separately at checkout.

Most of what we carry is shelf stable until it is opened, and would rather sit in a cool dark cupboard than on a sunny counter. Anything that needs refrigerating once opened says so on the label.
