LIGHT BODYFULL BODY
Description

Azienda Agricola Brangero Langhe Arneis Centofile is produced from 100% Arneis grapes grown in the Langhe hills of Piedmont. The estate is situated on a hilltop near Diano d'Alba with breathtaking views of the rolling Langhe countryside. The sandy-calcareous soils contribute to the wine's characteristic minerality and structure. Marco Brangero employs traditional winemaking methods with fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve the grape's natural aromatics. The family-run winery focuses on expressing the unique terroir of this historic Piedmontese region through minimal intervention techniques.

Important Compliance Requirements

FedEx and other carriers we might occasionally use can only deliver wine to customers who are 21 years or older. Someone must be at the address to receive the package, carriers don't just drop a package and leave. They must ensure the person receiving the wine is 21 or older.

Re-shipping a Package

If a package gets returned to us after three failed delivery attempts, we can only re-ship the wine upon payment of a re-shipping fee to be determined based on shipping address and number of bottles. Shipping wine is extremely expensive, we are sorry about this, but we have no other choice. Please make sure there's always someone at the address you enter as your shipping address.

If you'd like to receive a refund for a package that was returned to us after FedEx made three delivery attempts, we can do that but we must keep a $20 refund fee; FedEx charges us a lot of money for returns, unfortunately, I can't stress this enough.

Re-routing a Package

If you'd like to re-route a package after it's been shipped, we can do so upon payment of a $20 re-routing fee. We cannot re-route a package across state borders. For any change of address, please contact us as soon as possible, ideally within 1-2 days from placing the order or we cannot guarantee we'll be able to reroute or change your order's shipping address.

Canceling an Order

If you'd like to cancel an order after it's been shipped, we can do so upon payment of a small cancelling fee – the amount depends on how big the order is. Carriers charge us a lot of money to recall a package en-route.

Heat/Frost damage

We are not responsible for heat/frost-related issues. We offer ice-packs upon request. please let us know should you think that there could be heat-related issues. If we don't hear anything from you regarding weather issues before an order is shipped, or if you don't request a hold due to the weather, we are not responsible for heat/frost damage.

Producer profile

Brangero

Azienda Agricola Brangero is a family-run winery located in Diano d'Alba, Piedmont, situated on the highest part of a hill overlooking the town. The estate has been producing wine for three generations and is currently managed by Marco Brangero, who runs the operation for his father. The winery is positioned on a hilltop with views of the rolling Langhe hills and the medieval town of Diano d'Alba.

The estate produces wines exclusively from proprietary vineyards, with vineyard management performed entirely by the family. Marco Brangero is described as a fourth-generation winemaker who has acquired parcels in prestigious vineyard sites, including holdings in the renowned Monvigliero vineyard in Barolo.

Brangero produces traditional Piedmontese wine varieties including Chardonnay, Arneis, Dolcetto di Diano d'Alba DOCG, Nebbiolo d'Alba, Barbera d'Alba, and Barolo. The winery also produces a Langhe Rosso blend, where they aim to create the best Nebbiolo-based composition each year based on what the vintage offers.

The estate operates under the philosophy of understanding and interpreting the territory, environment, and vine as the foundation for producing wines with recognizable character and personality. Bottling typically takes place in spring, and the family focuses on maintaining high quality standards while highlighting the characteristics of their selected grape varieties.

Marco Brangero also operates a separate estate called La Ginestraia, founded in 2007 in Liguria, which produces wines from indigenous Ligurian grape varieties including Pigato, Vermentino, and Rossese.

Wine region

Piedmont, Italy

The Langhe is a prestigious wine region located in southeastern Piedmont, northwest Italy, situated between the cities of Alba and the Ligurian Apennines. The region encompasses rolling hills characterized by calcareous-clay soils and a continental climate with significant diurnal temperature variations that favor optimal grape ripening. The Langhe gained UNESCO World Heritage status in 2014, recognizing its outstanding viticultural landscape and cultural significance.

The region is internationally renowned for producing some of Italy's most celebrated red wines, particularly Barolo and Barbaresco, both made exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes. Nebbiolo thrives in the Langhe's terroir, developing complex aromatics and robust tannin structure. The area also produces excellent Dolcetto and Barbera wines, which offer more approachable styles for everyday drinking.

White wine production centers primarily on Arneis, historically known as "white Nebbiolo," which nearly faced extinction before experiencing a revival in the 1980s. Chardonnay plantings have also increased, producing both still and sparkling wines. The Langhe DOC designation, established in 1994, allows producers flexibility in blending and experimenting with both indigenous and international grape varieties.

Key communes include Barolo, La Morra, Castiglione Falletto, Serralunga d'Alba, and Monforte d'Alba for Barolo production, while Barbaresco is produced in Barbaresco, Neive, and Treiso. The region's winemaking combines traditional techniques with modern innovations, emphasizing terroir expression and quality. Wine tourism flourishes here, with numerous family-owned estates offering tastings and vineyard tours. The Langhe's gastronomic heritage includes white truffles, hazelnuts, and artisanal cheeses, creating perfect pairings with the local wines and establishing the region as a premier destination for food and wine enthusiasts.
