White flowers and dried fruit on the nose. Spectacular.

The Winery: Matic

Matic Wines is Matija Žerjav, known simply as Matic to his friends and family. Matic chooses to farm his 9 hectares of land using all organic and biodynamic methods. He prefers these methods less because of the fashion of natural and organic winemaking and more because he firmly believes this is how wine should be made. He wants his children to be able to play in the vineyard and someday, should they choose, he would be happy to see them follow in his footsteps and farm the same land, hills, and valleys which he farms. (source: Slovenian Wines of Wisconsin)

Stress Free Shipping

At Primal Wine we like to be transparent about everything we do. When it comes to buying products online, shipping is the most important aspect, and that’s why we take great care in shipping and handling your order using only 100% recycled packaging material.

Re-shipping

If a package gets returned to us after three failed delivery attempts, we can only re-ship the wine upon payment of a re-shipping fee. Shipping wine is extremely expensive, we are sorry about this, but we have no other choice. Please make sure there's always someone at the address you enter as your shipping address.

Important Compliance Requirements

UPS and other carriers we might occasionally use can only deliver wine to customers who are 21 years or older.

Important COVID Update

UPS and FedEx declared that in order to protect their workers and customers, they no longer require a signature on delivery. This does not mean they will drop a wine box at your door. UPS delivery workers will make sure the person receiving the wine is 21 years or older, and will ask for his/her name - only then do they deliver the package.

Shipping Rates and Options

An important premise: wine bottles are heavy – about 3 pounds each – and shipping is expensive! Primal Wine is not backed by venture capital money – we proudly are a mom and pop independent online store – and we must charge shipping on all orders, otherwise we wouldn’t be in business. However, we try our best to offer you very competitive shipping rates.

We may make arrangements for a return and refund if appropriate, and only after we receive unopened products back to our warehouse.
