Product Description

The Wine: Al Basc Orange Albariño 2019

La Clarine Farm Al Basc Orange Albariño 2019 is a white skin-contact (orange wine) natural wine made from 100% Albariño grapes grown at Rorick's Vineyard in Calaveras County, California. Spontaneous fermentation, unfined, unfiltered. Decant briefly before drinking.

The Producer: La Clarine Farm

La Clarine Farm is located at 2600 feet in California’s Sierra Nevada Foothills. On our 10 acres (4 Ha) we grow wine grapes, raise goats and share our space here with numerous dogs, cats, bees, chickens, birds, gophers, flowers and herbs.

At La Clarine Farm, we make wine as naturally as possible, adding no yeast, sulfur dioxide, oak chips, enzymes or concentrates in the cellar, and no chemicals, fertilizers or tillage in our vineyard. We allow fermentation to occur spontaneously and allow them to complete in their own time (this can take up to 6 months!). Every vintage has its own rhythms. We age our wine in neutral containers, never in new oak, and let the wine develop without sulfur additions or excessive racking. We bottle when the wine is “complete” (when a wine eventually “comes together” and is harmonious). We then add a minimal amount of sulfur to ensure the bottles you receive are safe from the rigors of travel and fluctuating temperatures.

The Region: Sierra Foothills

Shipping & Returns

Stress Free Shipping

At Primal Wine we like to be transparent about everything we do. When it comes to buying products online, shipping is the most important aspect, and that’s why we take great care in shipping and handling your order using only 100% recycled packaging material.

Important Compliance Requirements

UPS and other carriers we might occasionally use can only deliver wine to customers who are 21 years or older.

Important COVID Update

UPS and FedEx declared that in order to protect their workers and customers, they no longer require a signature on delivery. This does not mean they will drop a wine box at your door. UPS delivery workers will make sure the person receiving the wine is 21 years or older, and will ask for his/her name - only then do they deliver the package.

Shipping Rates and Options

An important premise: wine bottles are heavy – about 3 pounds each – and shipping is expensive! Primal Wine is not backed by venture capital money – we proudly are a mom and pop independent online store – and we must charge shipping on all orders, otherwise we wouldn’t be in business. However, we try our best to offer you very competitive shipping rates.

Return Policy

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us at (424) 414-2040 or via e-mail at hello@primalwine.com between 9 am and 5 pm Pacific Standard Time, Monday through Sunday, we would like to understand and try to solve your concerns.

We may make arrangements for a return and refund if appropriate, and only after we receive unopened products back to our warehouse.
