When is my order shipping?

We are doing your best to ship your order in 2-3 business days.

We will process and ship your order in 2-3 business days, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking as soon as the Carrier scans the shipping label.

Ground shipping time depends on location, here's a breakdown:

West Coast: 1-2 business days
Midwest: 3-4 business days
East Coast: 5 business days

Process time is not shipping time. Shipping time starts from the days successive to the day of shipping, after the order has been processed.

Do I have to sign upon delivery?

Yes, someone 21 years or older must sign for the package.

Signature on delivery is mandatory for wine deliveries. Please make sure someone is at the shipping address to sign for the package.

If applicable, please consider delivering the package to a business address to ensure someone is available to sign for the package.

We also have the option of delivering the package to a Carrier's store for pickup. Please reach out to us to coordinate.

Carrier will try to delivery a package up to three times before returning the package to us.

What if I miss a delivery?

Worry not, we have options, but please read carefully.

If you miss a delivery and a package gets returned to us we have two options:

1) Reship the package right away: due to the very high cost of shipping and returns, we must charge a re-shipping fee to be determined based on package size and shipping destination.

2) Consolidate the returned package with your next order: this option is free of charge and it's the most popular option.

What is Austrian natural wine known for?

Austria is one of the strongholds of biodynamic farming in Europe, with a deep bench of respected growers in the Wachau, Kamptal, and Burgenland. It is best known for precise, mineral whites from Gruner Veltliner and Riesling and for fresh, peppery reds from Blaufrankisch, much of it made with clean farming and low intervention.

What does Gruner Veltliner taste like?

Gruner Veltliner is a dry white with a signature white-pepper spice, green herbs, citrus, and a stony minerality. It ranges from light and zippy to rich and ageworthy, and it is one of the most food-friendly white wines you can pour.

What are the main Austrian red grapes?

Blaufrankisch is the flagship, giving peppery, dark-fruited reds with fresh acidity and fine tannin. Zweigelt is juicier and more approachable, often served with a slight chill, and St. Laurent offers a silky, Pinot-like style. All three are widely farmed in Burgenland.

Does Austria make orange wine?

Yes. Around the warm, shallow Neusiedlersee in Burgenland, growers make skin-contact whites and lightly oxidative styles that are among the most polished orange wines in Europe. Many of Austria's natural producers work in this category alongside their classic whites.

Many of the producers in this collection farm organically or biodynamically, and Austria has one of the highest rates of certified organic vineyard area in the world. In the cellar they favor native yeasts and minimal additions.

Gruner Veltliner is famously versatile and even handles tricky pairings like asparagus and artichoke, as well as schnitzel and roast chicken. Blaufrankisch and Zweigelt suit charcuterie, grilled meats, and roast vegetables. Serve lighter reds slightly chilled.
