Domaine Tessier

Arnaud Tessier with his wife Catherine at Domaine Tessier in Meursault

Arnaud Tessier was just 22 when his father died suddenly in 2006, leaving him to take over the family vines in the heart of Meursault.

Backstory

Born in Meursault, Arnaud began working alongside his father in the vineyard at 14. In 2007 he broke with the family tradition of selling grapes to the Burgundy negoce and started bottling his own wines under Domaine Tessier. His wife Catherine joined him at the estate soon after.

The Region

The domaine is based in the center of the historic village of Meursault, in the Cote de Beaune of Burgundy, a commune celebrated above all for its white wines.

Vineyards & Farming

The estate today farms 7.5 hectares across some of Meursault's finest climats. Arnaud works organically and controls yields by removing excess flower buds during flowering; his vineyards are reckoned among the most immaculate in the village.

The Wines

The range is almost entirely white: Bourgogne Chardonnay Champ Perrier, Meursault Les Casse-Tetes and Les Grands Charrons, and the premiers crus Le Poruzot Dessus, Les Genevrieres and Les Charmes Dessus.
