The Wines

Cuvee Milo Red Blend 2018

Press Gang Cellars Cuvee Milo Red Blend is a red natural made from a blend of 47% Grenache Noir (La Certe Vineyard, Los Olivos District AVA), 38% Syrah (Robert Rae Ranch, Sta. Rilla Hills AVA), 15% Mourvèdre (La Certe Vineyard, Los Olivos District AVA). Complex and layered, bright, fresh, and juicy. Very fresh aromatics of blue/black fruit – black currant, blueberry with some cocoa powder, and anise. You’ll also get a little graphite and roasted meat.

Rosé of Grenache 2020

Press Gang Cellars Rosé of Grenache 2020 is a natural wine made from 90% Grenache from Brave and Maiden (Los Olivos District AVA), and 10% Grenache from Robert Rae Ranch (Sta. Rita Hills AVA), California. This wine is very reminiscent of the Rosés of the Provence, France on the palate and the color is a beautiful light pink. While the aromatics lean more toward Orange peel and grapefruit blossoms.

The Producer

Press Gang Cellars

Since 2010, Kyle and Savanna Knapp have been creating small batches of exciting wines from interesting Santa Barbara County vineyards. Press Gang fruit is hand-picked, hand-sorted and fermented with native yeast. Kyle learned winemaking from the ground up, starting with harvest at a local winery. He spent a vintage abroad in Western Australia and fell in love with the craft. Upon returning home, he jumped right back into another harvest until he worked his way up to his current position as head winemaker at Stolpman. Inspired by the song “Press Gang” by The Murder City Devils, he knew, that he wanted to create something different, against the grain so to speak, to represent his winemaking style.

Shipping & Returns

Stress Free Shipping

At Primal Wine we like to be transparent about everything we do. When it comes to buying products online, shipping is the most important aspect, and that’s why we take great care in shipping and handling your order using only 100% recycled packaging material.

If a package gets returned to us after three failed delivery attempts, we can only re-ship the wine upon payment of a re-shipping fee. Shipping wine is extremely expensive, we are sorry about this, but we have no other choice. Please make sure there's always someone at the address you enter as your shipping address.

Important Compliance Requirements

UPS and other carriers we might occasionally use can only deliver wine to customers who are 21 years or older.

Important COVID Update

UPS and FedEx declared that in order to protect their workers and customers, they no longer require a signature on delivery. This does not mean they will drop a wine box at your door. UPS delivery workers will make sure the person receiving the wine is 21 years or older, and will ask for his/her name - only then do they deliver the package.

Shipping Rates and Options

An important premise: wine bottles are heavy – about 3 pounds each – and shipping is expensive! Primal Wine is not backed by venture capital money – we proudly are a mom and pop independent online store – and we must charge shipping on all orders, otherwise we wouldn’t be in business. However, we try our best to offer you very competitive shipping rates.

Return Policy

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us at (424) 414-2040 or via e-mail at between 9 am and 5 pm Pacific Standard Time, Monday through Sunday, we would like to understand and try to solve your concerns.

We may make arrangements for a return and refund if appropriate, and only after we receive unopened products back to our warehouse.
