Important Compliance Requirements

FedEx and other carriers we might occasionally use can only deliver wine to customers who are 21 years or older. Someone must be at the address to receive the package, carriers don't just drop a package and leave. They must ensure the person receiving the wine is 21 or older.

Re-shipping a Package

If a package is returned to us after three failed delivery attempts, we can only re-ship the wine upon payment of a re-shipping fee, to be determined based on the shipping address and number of bottles. Shipping wine is extremely expensive. We are sorry about this, but we have no other choice. Please make sure there's always someone at the address you enter as your shipping address.

If you'd like to receive a refund for a package that was returned to us after FedEx made three delivery attempts, we can do that but we must keep a $20 refund fee; FedEx charges us a lot of money for returns, unfortunately, I can't stress this enough.

Re-routing a Package

If you'd like to reroute a package after it's been shipped, we can do so for a $20 re-routing fee. We cannot re-route a package across state borders. For any change of address, please contact us as soon as possible, ideally within 1-2 days from placing the order or we cannot guarantee we'll be able to reroute or change your order's shipping address.

Canceling an Order

If you'd like to cancel an order after it's been shipped, we can do so upon payment of a small cancellation fee – the amount depends on the size of the order. Carriers charge us a lot of money to recall a package en-route.

Heat/Frost damage

We are not responsible for heat- or frost-related issues. We offer ice-packs upon request. Please let us know if you think that there could be heat-related issues. If we don't hear anything from you regarding weather issues before an order is shipped, or if you don't request a hold due to the weather, we are not responsible for heat/frost damage.

Placed an order. What next?

1. You will receive an order confirmation email with your order summary.*

2. As soon as your order ships from the warehouse, usually within 2-3 business days, this applies to all shipping rates, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking information. 2DAY shipping refers to shipping time; we still need 2-3 business days to prepare an order. We need to pick and pack, QA, add printed collateral, and palletize the orders.

3. Please track your package using the tracking service.

4. The carrier will attempt delivery a maximum of 3 times. After 3 delivery attempts, your package will be sent back to our warehouse.**

*Please ensure your email address is correct; otherwise, you will not receive the order and shipping confirmation emails.

**If delivery is attempted 3 times without success, or if you fail to retrieve your package from the carrier depot by the stated deadline, the shipping fee will not be refunded to the customer.

Producer profile

Tamellini

Tamellini is a family-owned winery located in the Soave region of Veneto, Italy, producing exclusively Garganega-based wines. Founded in 1998 by brothers Gaetano and Pio Francesco Tamellini, the estate represents the culmination of four generations of viticultural experience in the area. The Tamellini family cultivated grapes for other producers before establishing their own label to focus on premium Soave production.

The winery operates 30 hectares of vineyards situated in Costeggiola, within the heart of the historic Soave zone near Verona. The estate's vineyards benefit from calcareous and volcanic soils with southern exposure, providing optimal growing conditions for the indigenous Garganega grape variety. Tamellini practices sustainable farming methods, avoiding herbicides and pesticides while utilizing cover crops and minimal intervention techniques.

Tamellini produces three distinct wines, all made from 100% Garganega grapes. Their flagship Tamellini Soave DOC represents the largest production at 250,000 bottles annually. The premium Soave Classico "Le Bine de Costiola" comes from a specific 3-hectare vineyard on volcanic soils, with production limited to 20,000 bottles per year. The estate also crafts a traditional method sparkling wine aged for minimum five years on lees.

The winemaking process emphasizes gentle handling, with hand-harvested grapes pressed without destemming. Fermentation occurs at controlled temperatures of 15°C in stainless steel tanks. The resulting Tamellini Soave wines display characteristic straw yellow color, floral aromatics, and mineral-driven palate with almond notes. These wines pair well with seafood, light pasta dishes, and serve as quality aperitifs, representing authentic expressions of the Soave terroir.

Wine region

Veneto, Italy

Azienda Agricola Tamellini is a family winery in Costeggiola, in the San Vittore zone of the Soave DOC, founded in 1998 by brothers Gaetano and Pio Francesco Tamellini. The family has grown Garganega grapes in this area for four generations, beginning with their grandfather Ettore, who, in 1930, co-founded the Cantina Sociale di Soave cooperative with 30 other growers. Their father, Luigino, planted the first 3 hectares of estate vineyards in 1947. For decades, like most growers in the zone, the family sold its fruit to the cooperative or to negociants.

The decision to bottle under their own label came in 1998, when Gaetano and Pio Francesco met importer Marc de Grazia at Vinitaly and found a partner who shared their conviction that traditional, unoaked, pure Garganega Soave deserved a different market. The two brothers brought in winemaker Paolo Caciorgna and agronomist Federico Curtaz as collaborators, and from the outset their approach was clear: no Trebbiano in the blend, no oak in the cellar, and no shortcuts in the vineyard.

Gaetano manages the farming side of the operation; Pio Francesco oversees winemaking. The estate now covers approximately 50 hectares, with the Soave DOC production drawn from around 27 to 30 hectares of calcareous and volcanic soils at Costeggiola. Older vines trained on the traditional Veronese pergola sit alongside younger vines on Guyot trellising. Disease management relies entirely on copper and sulfur; no herbicides, pesticides, or fertilizers are used. Soil between rows is left under cover crops and untilled.

Gaetano's children, Leonardo, Giosuè, and Chiara, have now joined the business, bringing a fourth generation of the family into the winery.
