Tasting notes

Bright straw yellow with a fine, persistent mousse. The nose opens with ripe yellow fruit, peach, citrus, and subtle lavender alongside fresh bread notes. On the palate, crisp apple and lemon flavors carry through, supported by integrated bubbles, balanced acidity, and a clean, minerally finish.

Fagher Prosecco Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG represents Le Colture's modern take on this prestigious appellation. Made from 100% Glera grapes sourced from the estate's organically farmed vineyards in Santo Stefano di Valdobbiadene, this Brut-style sparkler undergoes second fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks (the Charmat method), preserving the grape's fresh aromatics. Le Colture crafts Fagher Prosecco Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG to showcase delicate citrus, fresh vegetable notes, and hints of baked bread. The persistent fine bubbles and crisp acidity make this a versatile sparkling wine suitable for aperitifs and food pairing alike.

Important Compliance Requirements

FedEx and other carriers we might occasionally use can only deliver wine to customers who are 21 years or older. Someone must be at the address to receive the package, carriers don't just drop a package and leave. They must ensure the person receiving the wine is 21 or older.

Re-shipping a Package

If a package is returned to us after three failed delivery attempts, we can only re-ship the wine upon payment of a re-shipping fee, to be determined based on the shipping address and number of bottles. Shipping wine is extremely expensive. We are sorry about this, but we have no other choice. Please make sure there's always someone at the address you enter as your shipping address.

If you'd like to receive a refund for a package that was returned to us after FedEx made three delivery attempts, we can do that but we must keep a $20 refund fee; FedEx charges us a lot of money for returns, unfortunately, I can't stress this enough.

Re-routing a Package

If you'd like to reroute a package after it's been shipped, we can do so for a $20 re-routing fee. We cannot re-route a package across state borders. For any change of address, please contact us as soon as possible, ideally within 1-2 days from placing the order or we cannot guarantee we'll be able to reroute or change your order's shipping address.

Canceling an Order

If you'd like to cancel an order after it's been shipped, we can do so upon payment of a small cancellation fee – the amount depends on the size of the order. Carriers charge us a lot of money to recall a package en-route.

Heat/Frost damage

We are not responsible for heat- or frost-related issues. We offer ice-packs upon request. Please let us know if you think that there could be heat-related issues. If we don't hear anything from you regarding weather issues before an order is shipped, or if you don't request a hold due to the weather, we are not responsible for heat/frost damage.

Placed an order. What next?

1. You will receive an order confirmation email with your order summary.*

2. As soon as your order ships from the warehouse, usually within 2-3 business days, this applies to all shipping rates, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking information. 2DAY shipping refers to shipping time; we still need 2-3 business days to prepare an order. We need to pick and pack, QA, add printed collateral, and palletize the orders.

3. Please track your package using the tracking service.

4. The carrier will attempt delivery a maximum of 3 times. After 3 delivery attempts, your package will be sent back to our warehouse.**

*Please ensure your email address is correct; otherwise, you will not receive the order and shipping confirmation emails.

**If delivery is attempted 3 times without success, or if you fail to retrieve your package from the carrier depot by the stated deadline, the shipping fee will not be refunded to the customer.

Producer profile

Le Colture

Le Colture is a family estate rooted in the village of Santo Stefano di Valdobbiadene, where the Ruggeri family has cultivated vines since the 1500s. The property occupies the historic center of the Prosecco Superiore zone, surrounded by the steep hillsides near Cartizze that produce some of the denomination's finest fruit. In 1983, Cesare Ruggeri launched the winery's sparkling wine production, drawing on five centuries of accumulated viticultural knowledge.

Today, Cesare's children—Silvia, Alberto, and Veronica—work alongside him, combining respect for tradition with modern winemaking innovation. The family maintains direct involvement in every stage of production: vineyard management, grape selection, winemaking, and sales. This hands-on approach distinguishes Le Colture from larger operations that rely on purchased grapes.

The estate encompasses approximately 40 hectares of vineyards distributed across 16 farm properties in the Valdobbiadene, Conegliano, and Montello areas. This unusual breadth of estate-owned land allows Le Colture to create wines with distinct personalities reflecting their specific terroirs. Mature vines averaging 20-25 years old grow on terraced slopes, with all grapes harvested by hand—a necessity given the steep gradients.

Le Colture exclusively uses the Charmat (tank) method for secondary fermentation, which preserves the fresh, aromatic qualities of the Glera grape. The winery's modern facilities, housed within traditional-style buildings, enable precise temperature control throughout vinification. The portfolio ranges from the crisp Fagher Brut to the refined Pianer Extra Dry, the single-vineyard Rive di Santo Stefano, and the prestigious Superiore di Cartizze. The winery produces approximately 750,000 bottles annually, available in wine bars and restaurants across Italy and internationally.

Le Colture also operates Prime Gemme, a guesthouse in a restored 1920s farmhouse, offering visitors accommodation amid the UNESCO-protected landscape.

Wine region

Veneto, Italy

Conegliano Valdobbiadene sits in the Veneto region of northeastern Italy, approximately 50 kilometers north of Venice and 100 kilometers south of the Dolomites. This hilly zone, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2019, represents the historic heartland of Prosecco production—vineyards have been cultivated here for over three centuries. The appellation spans 15 communes between the town of Conegliano to the east (home to Italy's first school of enology, founded in 1876) and Valdobbiadene to the west, where the steepest slopes and highest elevations produce the most prized fruit.

The landscape is defined by hogback formations—steep, east-west oriented ridges created when the African tectonic plate collided with Europe. Slopes can reach gradients of 70 percent, requiring labor-intensive manual viticulture that demands at least 600 hours of work per hectare annually. Vineyards range from 100 to 500 meters in elevation, where significant day-night temperature variations allow grapes to develop complex aromas while retaining freshness.

Soils vary dramatically across the appellation, a legacy of both glacial and marine origins. The western Valdobbiadene zone features ancient moraines, sandstone, and clay, while eastern Conegliano has deeper soils shaped by glacial deposits. This geological diversity enables producers to craft wines with distinct personalities from different micro-zones. The Rive designation recognizes 43 specific communes where single-vineyard, vintage-dated wines highlight individual terroir, while the 107-hectare Cartizze sub-zone represents the pinnacle of quality.

The mild climate benefits from protection by the Alps against northern storms while the Adriatic Sea provides moisture and moderates temperatures. Average annual rainfall reaches 1,250 millimeters, with significant summer showers that the steep slopes efficiently drain—essential for the Glera grape's healthy development.
