It’s such a great wine. When I tasted it, it reminded me so much of Lambrusco that I had to get it for this wine club. It’s the perfect companion for charcuterie boards filled with spicy cold cuts and mature cheese. This is different from Lambrusco because it’s more fruit-forward and doesn’t have Lambrusco’s signature bitter finish.

Zélige-Caravent is located on the northern border of Pic Saint-Loup, the most northern sub-appellation of the Languedoc, officially recognized in 2017 for its high-quality, distinctive wines amidst the typically volume-driven Languedoc region. The name "zélige" refers to a tile mosaic crafted by Mediterranean artisans.

Wine region

Languedoc–Roussillon, France

The Minervois wine region, located in the Languedoc area of France, is recognized for producing predominantly red wines. This region benefits from a Mediterranean climate, characterized by ample sunshine and tempered by cooling winds. The vineyards are mainly situated on terraced hillsides, contributing to the distinct qualities of the wines.

Red wines from Minervois typically consist of blends of Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre grapes. These varieties yield full-bodied wines noted for their dark fruit and spice flavors, with a subtle mineral undertone. In addition to reds, the region also produces white wines, mainly from Grenache Blanc and Roussanne grapes, known for their floral and fresh characteristics.

Ground shipping time depends on location, here's a breakdown:

West Coast: 1-2 business days
Midwest: 3-4 business days

Process time is not shipping time. Shipping time starts from the days successive to the day of shipping, after the order has been processed.

Signature on delivery is mandatory for wine deliveries. Please make sure someone is at the shipping address to sign for the package.

If applicable, please consider delivering the package to a business address to ensure someone is available to sign for the package.

We also have the option of delivering the package to a Carrier's store for pickup. Please reach out to us to coordinate.

Carrier will try to delivery a package up to three times before returning the package to us.

If you miss a delivery and a package gets returned to us we have two options:

1) Reship the package right away: due to the very high cost of shipping and returns, we must charge a re-shipping fee to be determined based on package size and shipping destination.

2) Consolidate the returned package with your next order: this option is free of charge and it's the most popular option.
