Iole Rabasco's estate, encompassing 3.5 hectares, is situated in the village of Pianella within the province of Pescara, at the core of Abruzzo. This region hosts a distinctive array of meso- and micro-climates, attributed to its proximity to the Adriatic Sea, some 40 kilometers away, and the foundational slopes of Gran Sasso bordering the western edge of the Rabasco property. Iole Rabasco inherited a modest vineyard and olive grove from her family, noteworthy for their soils that have remained free from chemical treatments.

The predominant grape variety cultivated across the estate is Montepulciano, supplemented by a few rows of Trebbiano. The vines, averaging 40 years of age, are situated at an elevation of approximately 450 meters above sea level. The soil composition is characterized by calcareous clay intertwined with alluvial sediment and fossil remnants. Adhering to traditional viticultural practices, the vines are trained in the tendone style pergola, with all tasks executed manually. While yields are moderated, they are not exceedingly low, aligning with Iole's preference for wines exhibiting enhanced acidity and freshness over power and extract.

This meticulous approach to viticulture, coupled with the unique climatic conditions, contributes to the production of organic wine that embodies the natural wine ethos. Rabasco is a reflection of an integrative approach to winemaking, intertwining ancestral heritage with environmentally conscious practices.
