Patrick Sullivan is an innovative and respected winemaker from Gippsland, Australia. Raised in rural Victoria, his early exposure to agriculture ignited a passion for viticulture. After exploring Europe and studying botany and actuarial science, Patrick shifted his focus to winemaking. He initially worked with notable winemakers such as William Downie and Anna Martens, which helped refine his approach to natural wine production​.

In 2010, he launched Patrick Sullivan Wines, focusing on small-batch, biodynamic, and organic wines that express the unique terroirs of Gippsland and the Yarra Valley. His vineyards, such as the Tumblestone site in the Strzelecki Ranges, employ dry farming and biodynamic practices, aiming for minimal intervention in the winemaking process. His wines are known for purity and vibrancy, often crafted with wild yeast fermentations and low sulfur additions​. Patrick’s philosophy revolves around sustainable agriculture, strongly focusing on soil health. A deep connection to the land drives his winemaking, and he aspires to leave his vineyards in better condition for future generations.
