Tasting notes

At 10.5% ABV with only one night of skin contact, Bianchetto hits a rare sweet spot: textural enough to engage, light enough to drink without thinking twice. The combination of brisk Trebbiano acidity, tropical fruit character, and zero added sulfites keeps every sip honest and alive.

Bianchetto is Lammidia's entry-point white, made from 100% Trebbiano d'Abruzzo grown organically at around 700 meters above sea level in the village of Villa Celiera, inside the Gran Sasso National Park in Pescara province. Grapes are hand-harvested and given approximately one night of skin contact before fermentation, producing a hazy, golden wine with a gentle textural grip from the brief maceration.

Fermentation is spontaneous with native yeasts only. The wine is aged in a mix of stainless steel and fiberglass tanks, then bottled without fining, filtration, or added sulfites. ABV sits around 10.5%, making it one of the lightest expressions in the Lammidia lineup.

The nose is citrus-forward with white peach, nectarine, and a whisper of honey. On the palate, there is brisk acidity, a faint prickle from fermentation activity in bottle, and a finish that recalls apricot skin and lemon zest. It is designed to be consumed young and cold.

Serve well-chilled alongside fried seafood, grilled sardines, or a plate of summer vegetables with olive oil. The brisk acidity and low tannins also make it a good match for fresh goat cheese or light pasta with clams. Avoid heavy or cream-based dishes that will overpower its delicate frame.

Important Compliance Requirements

FedEx and other carriers we might occasionally use can only deliver wine to customers who are 21 years or older. Someone must be at the address to receive the package, carriers don't just drop a package and leave. They must ensure the person receiving the wine is 21 or older.

Re-shipping a Package

If a package is returned to us after three failed delivery attempts, we can only re-ship the wine upon payment of a re-shipping fee, to be determined based on the shipping address and number of bottles. Shipping wine is extremely expensive. We are sorry about this, but we have no other choice. Please make sure there's always someone at the address you enter as your shipping address.

If you'd like to receive a refund for a package that was returned to us after FedEx made three delivery attempts, we can do that but we must keep a $20 refund fee; FedEx charges us a lot of money for returns, unfortunately, I can't stress this enough.

Re-routing a Package

If you'd like to reroute a package after it's been shipped, we can do so for a $20 re-routing fee. We cannot re-route a package across state borders. For any change of address, please contact us as soon as possible, ideally within 1-2 days from placing the order or we cannot guarantee we'll be able to reroute or change your order's shipping address.

Canceling an Order

If you'd like to cancel an order after it's been shipped, we can do so upon payment of a small cancellation fee – the amount depends on the size of the order. Carriers charge us a lot of money to recall a package en-route.

Heat/Frost damage

We are not responsible for heat- or frost-related issues. We offer ice-packs upon request. Please let us know if you think that there could be heat-related issues. If we don't hear anything from you regarding weather issues before an order is shipped, or if you don't request a hold due to the weather, we are not responsible for heat/frost damage.

Placed an order. What next?

1. You will receive an order confirmation email with your order summary.*

2. As soon as your order ships from the warehouse, usually within 2-3 business days, this applies to all shipping rates, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking information. 2DAY shipping refers to shipping time; we still need 2-3 business days to prepare an order. We need to pick and pack, QA, add printed collateral, and palletize the orders.

3. Please track your package using the tracking service.

4. The carrier will attempt delivery a maximum of 3 times. After 3 delivery attempts, your package will be sent back to our warehouse.**

*Please ensure your email address is correct; otherwise, you will not receive the order and shipping confirmation emails.

**If delivery is attempted 3 times without success, or if you fail to retrieve your package from the carrier depot by the stated deadline, the shipping fee will not be refunded to the customer.

Producer profile

Lammidia

Lammidia was founded by childhood friends Davide Gentile and Marco Giuliani, who grew up together in Pescara, Abruzzo, and reconnected after university over a shared interest in natural wine. They made their first attempt at winemaking in 2010 with no formal training, no agronomist, and no oenologist. Their first official commercial release came in 2013, and the project quickly gained a following in the natural wine world.

The winery is based in a converted farmhouse in Villa Celiera, a small village in Pescara province at roughly 700 meters elevation inside the Gran Sasso National Park. Davide and Marco work with approximately 5 hectares of vines across several sites, sourcing primarily Trebbiano and Montepulciano, with smaller amounts of Pinot Nero, Pecorino, Barbera, and Moscato. Farming is organic, with no pesticides, herbicides, or systemic treatments. The vineyards use the traditional Pergola training system.

In the cellar, the approach is zero intervention: spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts, no fining, no filtration, and no added sulfites. Davide and Marco have designed and built their own concrete tanks and amphorae, and also use stainless steel and fiberglass containers depending on the wine. Their motto is 'uva e basta' (grapes and that's it). The name Lammidia comes from the Abruzzese dialect word for 'evil eye,' referencing a folk ritual performed by a grandmother over their first stuck fermentation.

Wine region

Abruzzo, Italy

Abruzzo runs from the central Apennines east to the Adriatic Sea, with over 65% of its territory classified as mountainous. The region sits between Marche to the north, Molise to the south, and Lazio to the west. Climate varies significantly by elevation and distance from the coast: coastal zones are warm and dry with a Mediterranean character, while inland areas like Pescara province experience more continental conditions with wide diurnal temperature swings. The Gran Sasso massif, the highest peak in the Apennines, anchors the interior.

Trebbiano d'Abruzzo DOC, established in 1972, is the only Abruzzo appellation dedicated exclusively to white wine and covers all four provinces: Chieti, Pescara, Teramo, and L'Aquila. Soils range from clay and calcareous limestone in the Teramo and Chieti foothills to sandier, rockier compositions at higher elevations. Lammidia sources Trebbiano from Pescara province, where a mix of clay, sand, and limestone soils and mountain elevations around 700 meters support grapes with naturally high acidity and moderate sugar accumulation. Montepulciano and Trebbiano are the dominant varieties region-wide, though native whites like Pecorino, Passerina, and Cococciola are increasingly prominent.
