Pale lemon-green with a bright, clear appearance. The nose is delicate and fresh: white peach, lemon zest, white flowers, and a stony alpine mineral note. The palate is light and precise, with clean citrus fruit, brisk acidity, and a long, flinty finish that stays dry throughout.

Important Compliance Requirements

FedEx and other carriers we might occasionally use can only deliver wine to customers who are 21 years or older. Someone must be at the address to receive the package, carriers don't just drop a package and leave. They must ensure the person receiving the wine is 21 or older.

Re-shipping a Package

If a package is returned to us after three failed delivery attempts, we can only re-ship the wine upon payment of a re-shipping fee, to be determined based on the shipping address and number of bottles. Shipping wine is extremely expensive. We are sorry about this, but we have no other choice. Please make sure there's always someone at the address you enter as your shipping address.

If you'd like to receive a refund for a package that was returned to us after FedEx made three delivery attempts, we can do that but we must keep a $20 refund fee; FedEx charges us a lot of money for returns, unfortunately, I can't stress this enough.

Re-routing a Package

If you'd like to reroute a package after it's been shipped, we can do so for a $20 re-routing fee. We cannot re-route a package across state borders. For any change of address, please contact us as soon as possible, ideally within 1-2 days from placing the order or we cannot guarantee we'll be able to reroute or change your order's shipping address.

Canceling an Order

If you'd like to cancel an order after it's been shipped, we can do so upon payment of a small cancellation fee – the amount depends on the size of the order. Carriers charge us a lot of money to recall a package en-route.

Heat/Frost damage

We are not responsible for heat- or frost-related issues. We offer ice-packs upon request. Please let us know if you think that there could be heat-related issues. If we don't hear anything from you regarding weather issues before an order is shipped, or if you don't request a hold due to the weather, we are not responsible for heat/frost damage.

Placed an order. What next?

1. You will receive an order confirmation email with your order summary.*

2. As soon as your order ships from the warehouse, usually within 2-3 business days, this applies to all shipping rates, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking information. 2DAY shipping refers to shipping time; we still need 2-3 business days to prepare an order. We need to pick and pack, QA, add printed collateral, and palletize the orders.

3. Please track your package using the tracking service.

4. The carrier will attempt delivery a maximum of 3 times. After 3 delivery attempts, your package will be sent back to our warehouse.**

*Please ensure your email address is correct; otherwise, you will not receive the order and shipping confirmation emails.

**If delivery is attempted 3 times without success, or if you fail to retrieve your package from the carrier depot by the stated deadline, the shipping fee will not be refunded to the customer.

Producer profile

Domaine H

Domaine H is the winemaking project of Sukhwan Ha, a Korean-born winemaker based in Chignin, Savoie. His path to the vineyards began in the world of Michelin-starred gastronomy. He worked as a sommelier at Pierre Orsi in Lyon and at Cordeillan-Bages in Pauillac before helping to found Le Passe Temps, a Korean-French fine dining restaurant in Lyon where, together with chef Younghoon Lee, he became part of the team behind the first Korean-cheffed restaurant in France to earn a Michelin star. The two were also among the first Korean sommeliers to pass the WSET Diploma in France.

When the COVID pandemic forced Le Passe Temps to close, Sukhwan used the disruption to redirect his career. He visited vineyards, enrolled in winemaking training in Beaune, and secured an internship with Emmanuel Houillon of the legendary Domaine Pierre Overnoy in Pupillin, Jura, one of the most influential estates in the natural wine world. That year in the Jura shaped everything that followed. The principles of Overnoy's approach, working without chemical additions, allowing fermentation to proceed with native yeasts, bottling without fining or filtration, using sulfur only when absolutely necessary, became the foundation of Domaine H.

Sukhwan took over a historic estate in Chignin, inheriting parcels that had already been farmed without herbicides for many years before his arrival. He began an organic transition in 2023, his first vintage, and his commitment to no added sulfites was formalized by the 2024 releases. The parcels at Domaine H sit on clay-limestone marl between 1,310 and 1,640 ft elevation, planted primarily with Jacquère, Bergeron (Roussanne), and Mondeuse. In the cellar, Sukhwan vinifies in stainless steel or used barrels sourced from producers including Pascal Côtat, depending on the cuvée. All wines are bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Wine region

Savoie, France

Chignin is one of 16 recognized crus within the Vin de Savoie AOP, located in the Savoie department of the northern French Alps, roughly 6 miles south of Chambéry. The cru occupies south and southwest-facing slopes on the western flank of the Bauges Mountains, a limestone massif that rises steeply above the Isère River valley. Most Chignin vineyards sit at between 820 and 1,800 ft above sea level, with the steeper upper parcels reaching higher, including Domaine H's plots at 1,310-1,640 ft. The combination of altitude, slope, and southern exposure gives the vines long hours of sunlight while the mountain air keeps temperatures moderate and nights cool.

The dominant soil type in Chignin is marl, a clay-limestone mix that drains freely while retaining enough moisture to sustain vines through the dry summer months. In some parcels, limestone scree and glacial moraine material are interspersed through the marl profile. These calcium-rich soils are closely associated with the mineral, almost saline finish typical of Chignin's whites.

The Chignin cru produces two distinct categories of wine. The basic Vin de Savoie Chignin is a white wine made primarily from Jacquère, the most widely planted grape in the region, which produces light, dry, early-drinking whites with white flower aromatics, citrus fruit, and pronounced mineral acidity. The Chignin-Bergeron designation, a step up in prestige, is reserved for wines made from 100% Bergeron, the local name for Roussanne, which produces richer, more textured whites capable of aging for a decade or more. Red wines from Mondeuse, Pinot Noir, and Gamay can also carry the Chignin cru label.

The Quenard family, spread across several branches, has historically dominated Chignin's production and set the reference standards for both the Jacquère and Bergeron styles. A younger generation of producers, including Sukhwan Ha of Domaine H, has arrived more recently, bringing low-intervention winemaking principles to the cru and adding a new dimension to Chignin's profile in international natural wine circles.
