Important Compliance Requirements

FedEx and other carriers we might occasionally use can only deliver wine to customers who are 21 years or older. Someone must be at the address to receive the package, carriers don't just drop a package and leave. They must ensure the person receiving the wine is 21 or older.

Re-shipping a Package

If a package is returned to us after three failed delivery attempts, we can only re-ship the wine upon payment of a re-shipping fee, to be determined based on the shipping address and number of bottles. Shipping wine is extremely expensive. We are sorry about this, but we have no other choice. Please make sure there's always someone at the address you enter as your shipping address.

If you'd like to receive a refund for a package that was returned to us after FedEx made three delivery attempts, we can do that but we must keep a $20 refund fee; FedEx charges us a lot of money for returns, unfortunately, I can't stress this enough.

Re-routing a Package

If you'd like to reroute a package after it's been shipped, we can do so for a $20 re-routing fee. We cannot re-route a package across state borders. For any change of address, please contact us as soon as possible, ideally within 1-2 days from placing the order or we cannot guarantee we'll be able to reroute or change your order's shipping address.

Canceling an Order

If you'd like to cancel an order after it's been shipped, we can do so upon payment of a small cancellation fee – the amount depends on the size of the order. Carriers charge us a lot of money to recall a package en-route.

Heat/Frost damage

We are not responsible for heat- or frost-related issues. We offer ice-packs upon request. Please let us know if you think that there could be heat-related issues. If we don't hear anything from you regarding weather issues before an order is shipped, or if you don't request a hold due to the weather, we are not responsible for heat/frost damage.

Placed an order. What next?

1. You will receive an order confirmation email with your order summary.*

2. As soon as your order ships from the warehouse, usually within 2-3 business days, this applies to all shipping rates, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking information. 2DAY shipping refers to shipping time; we still need 2-3 business days to prepare an order. We need to pick and pack, QA, add printed collateral, and palletize the orders.

3. Please track your package using the tracking service.

4. The carrier will attempt delivery a maximum of 3 times. After 3 delivery attempts, your package will be sent back to our warehouse.**

*Please ensure your email address is correct; otherwise, you will not receive the order and shipping confirmation emails.

**If delivery is attempted 3 times without success, or if you fail to retrieve your package from the carrier depot by the stated deadline, the shipping fee will not be refunded to the customer.

Producer profile

Wavy Wines

Wavy Wines is a Los Angeles-based négociant natural wine project founded in 2019 by Jude Zasadzki and Eliot Kessel. The idea began at a birthday party for Eliot's daughter, where the two friends were drinking natural wines from around the world and discussing whether they could start a project in the same spirit — easy-drinking, organically farmed, low-intervention wines made in the style the French call vin de soif. Their first wine was a skin-contact ramato made from Pinot Gris sourced from an organic vineyard in Chico, California, blended with a small amount of Chardonnay from Scribe Estate Vineyard. The process of making that first wine — including a decision to also produce a piquette from the same pressed skins — defined the approach Wavy would carry forward: zero waste, creative thinking, and a commitment to working exclusively with organic fruit.

Wavy Wines does not own or farm any vineyards. Instead, Zasadzki and Kessel operate as a traveling négoce, building relationships with organic growers across Northern California — sourcing from Sonoma County, Mendocino, Contra Costa, and other regions depending on the vintage — and making the wines themselves. The project's philosophy is described as zero-zero: native yeasts only, no fining, no filtration, no added sulfites at any stage. This applies across the entire range, from the Sunshine Orange Wine to their sparkling NRG pét-nat, their red blends, and their skin-contact whites.

The Sunshine Orange Wine has been the project's signature cuvée since early in the label's history, consistent in its blend of Grenache Blanc, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Muscat from Sonoma County's organically farmed vineyards and in its characteristically saline, grapefruit-driven style. The wine captures what Zasadzki describes as "ocean spray grapefruit" — coastal, fresh, textured, and built for immediate drinking.

Wine region

California, United States

Sonoma County stretches from the Pacific Ocean coast eastward through a varied landscape of valleys, mountain ranges, and forest, covering a territory of roughly 1,600 square miles in Northern California. The county contains more than a dozen distinct American Viticultural Areas, each with its own soil composition, elevation, and climatic signature. This diversity makes Sonoma one of the most varied wine-growing counties in California, able to support a wide range of grape varieties across very different growing conditions within a relatively compact geography.

The coastal sub-regions — Sonoma Coast, Fort Ross-Seaview, Petaluma Gap — are among the coolest in California, where Pacific Ocean influence arrives in the form of morning fog and afternoon wind that regularly push inland temperatures down, extending the growing season and preserving natural acidity in the grapes. Moving inland, the Russian River Valley and its surroundings are shaped by the same marine influence but at one remove, producing conditions particularly suited to Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Further east and north, warmer zones like Dry Creek Valley and Alexander Valley receive less coastal influence and ripen varieties like Sauvignon Blanc, Grenache, and Zinfandel more fully.

Sonoma County has long been at the forefront of organic viticulture in California. The county is home to a significant concentration of certified organic vineyards, and its winemaking community has historically embraced sustainable and low-intervention practices with more consistency than many other California regions. This combination of climatic diversity, organic farming culture, and proximity to the Bay Area's wine-forward consumer base has made Sonoma County a natural hub for California's natural wine movement in the twenty-first century, with producers sourcing from its varied organic growers to make wines that reflect the county's coastal freshness and mineral character.
