Bianco Grillo & Catarratto 2020

Viteadovest is a winery located in Marsala, Sicily. It was founded from the union of the vineyards of the Portelli-Puleo and Angileri families. The estate spans five hectares divided into six areas, cultivated with vines for over a century.

The vineyards primarily use the traditional sapling method with low yields per hectare. In 2013, inspired by their experiences as entomologists, the founders resumed wine production, focusing on high-quality, traditionally cultivated wines.

The winery produces several wines, including notable reds and whites from local grape varieties like Grillo, Catarratto, Nero d'Avola, and Nerello Mascalese.

While international grape varieties like Chardonnay and Syrah are making their mark, it's the indigenous varietals - Nero d’Avola, Catarratto, Grillo, and Inzolia - that truly define Sicilian natural winemaking. These native grapes, thriving in Sicily's unique terroir, give life to natural wines that are as vibrant and varied as the island itself.
