Natural Wine Producers: Working With Nature
Portraits and interviews with the world's finest natural wine producers — farmers and winemakers who work in harmony with terroir, minimal intervention, and a deep respect for the land.
Farnea – Marco Buratti's Colli Euganei Hideout
Farnea is Marco Buratti, a former chef and restaurateur who returned to his native Colli Euganei hills in Veneto to farm about 2.5 hectares biodynamically. On volcanic soils, he works local and long-established varieties to make the honest, characterful wines he loves to drink.
Dario Princic
Dario Princic makes some of the world's most revered orange wines from Oslavia, in Friuli-Venezia Giulia's Collio, on the Slovenian border. He has farmed and vinified naturally since 1993, long before “natural wine” had a name, producing complex, skin-contact whites in a strict vinnaturist style.
Elisabetta Foradori – The Queen of Biodynamics
Elisabetta Foradori, known as the 'Lady of Teroldego,' runs one of Italy's most respected natural wineries in mountainous Trentino. She took over the family estate in 1984 and converted its 28 hectares to biodynamics in 2002, long before natural wine became fashionable.
