Faccia di Vino is the bright, honest face of Modenese Lambrusco, a collaboration that pairs a California importer with a winemaking family rooted in Emilia for nearly a century.

Backstory

The label is a partnership between California-based natural wine importer Amy Atwood and Azienda Agricola Pezzuoli, a family estate that has farmed in the Modena area since 1932 and is now run by fourth-generation winemaker Alberto Pezzuoli.

The Region

The estate lies in Emilia-Romagna in north-central Italy, the home of Lambrusco, with family vineyards in the hill zone near Maranello at altitudes around 400 meters.

Vineyards and Farming

The wines are 100 percent estate made from the family's own vineyards. Pezzuoli is converting from sustainable toward organic practices, and the project emphasizes circular farming, solar conversion, and recycled, low-impact packaging.

Winemaking

Made with minimal intervention, the Faccia di Vino Lambrusco Natural is a clean, fresh, sparkling red built around the classic Lambrusco varieties of the Modena DOC zone.

The Wines

The focus is Lambrusco Natural, a juicy, frothy, food-friendly sparkling red, alongside the estate's broader range of Lambrusco di Sorbara, Salamino di Santa Croce, and Grasparossa di Castelvetro.
