Benjamin Taillandier, based in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France, embarked on his winemaking journey after being inspired by natural winemaker Jean-Baptiste Senat. In 2007, he settled in Caunes-Minervois and began cultivating his estate organically, transitioning to biodynamics. His vineyard, now encompassing 9.5 hectares, is worked entirely by hand and is Ecocert certified.

Taillandier's philosophy involves crafting wines that are lighter, fresher, and lower in alcohol than typical wines from the Languedoc. His range includes a variety of cuvées made from grapes like Cinsault, Syrah, Carignan, and Grenache, all farmed biodynamically and harvested by hand. The winemaking process is natural, with spontaneous fermentation and minimal intervention, aiming to produce wines that are expressive of the Minervois terroir.

The Minervois wine region, located in the Languedoc area of France, is recognized for producing predominantly red wines. This region benefits from a Mediterranean climate, characterized by ample sunshine and tempered by cooling winds. The vineyards are mainly situated on terraced hillsides, contributing to the distinct qualities of the wines.

Red wines from Minervois typically consist of blends of Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre grapes. These varieties yield full-bodied wines noted for their dark fruit and spice flavors, with a subtle mineral undertone. In addition to reds, the region also produces white wines, mainly from Grenache Blanc and Roussanne grapes, known for their floral and fresh characteristics.
