Free Your Soul 2020

Wonderwerk • 750ml

$29.95

Wonderwerk Free Your Soul is a red natural wine made from a blend of 67% Mission from Somer’s Vineyard, and 33% Petite Sirah from Jag’s Vineyard from Mokelumne River AVA, Lodi, California. Petite Sirah was picked on September 9 at 21.5° Brix and whole clusters were dumped into an open-top fermentor. Mission was picked on September 11 at 20.4° Brix, de-stemmed, and dumped into the fermentor on top of the Petite Sirah. Vigorous foot-treading and soft punch-downs were employed to best mimic classic winemaking techniques. The wine was pressed to neutral French Oak barriques as soon as the tannin pickup (from Petite Sirah) gained traction. The wine was aged 6 months in barrel and bottled unfined and unfiltered, with 15 ppm sulfur (kmbs) added at bottling.

The Producer: Wonderwerk

Wonderwerk (House of Fermentation) is Issamu Kamide and Andrew Lardy, two high school friends from Virginia seeking new directions in fermentation. We live in LA (Echo Park!) and make supernatural wines from all over California. We produce and bottle with our own hands and feet. We ride the wavelength from low-intervention to high-innovation, making collaborative ideas come to life in funky new ways. Wonderwerk began as a long night on a disco dancefloor (Despacio!) wound down and we didn’t want the party to end. Now, it’s flowed from there into the wines you see and drink today. Come along for the ride fam, bring your dancing shoes and an open mind, we promise we won’t disappoint.

Shipping & Returns

Stress Free Shipping

At Primal Wine we like to be transparent about everything we do. When it comes to buying products online, shipping is the most important aspect, and that’s why we take great care in shipping and handling your order using only 100% recycled packaging material.

Re-shipping

If a package gets returned to us after three failed delivery attempts, we can only re-ship the wine upon payment of a re-shipping fee. Shipping wine is extremely expensive, we are sorry about this, but we have no other choice. Please make sure there's always someone at the address you enter as your shipping address.

Important Compliance Requirements

UPS and other carriers we might occasionally use can only deliver wine to customers who are 21 years or older.

Important COVID Update

UPS and FedEx declared that in order to protect their workers and customers, they no longer require a signature on delivery. This does not mean they will drop a wine box at your door. UPS delivery workers will make sure the person receiving the wine is 21 years or older, and will ask for his/her name - only then do they deliver the package.

Shipping Rates and Options

An important premise: wine bottles are heavy – about 3 pounds each – and shipping is expensive! Primal Wine is not backed by venture capital money – we proudly are a mom and pop independent online store – and we must charge shipping on all orders, otherwise we wouldn’t be in business. However, we try our best to offer you very competitive shipping rates.

Return Policy

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us at (424) 414-2040 or via e-mail at hello@primalwine.com between 9 am and 5 pm Pacific Standard Time, Monday through Sunday, we would like to understand and try to solve your concerns.

We may make arrangements for a return and refund if appropriate, and only after we receive unopened products back to our warehouse.
