The 2018 is an 85% Syrah and 15% Grenache blend sourced entirely from Tardieu's estate, with vines planted at around 300 meters altitude on limestone and clay soils.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eDenis Tardieu has been farming organically since 2001, certified for both his grape and olive production, working without pesticides or herbicides and harvesting by hand. Jambon takes those grapes north to his Beaujolais cellar, where the blend is co-fermented in tank with partial whole-cluster inclusion and stems. A small amount of sulfur is added at bottling; no other additions are used.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe result is a medium-bodied red that straddles two worlds: southern Rhone fruit density and the crunchy, fresh-acid sensibility of Jambon's Beaujolais approach. Expect vibrant red cherry, a touch of leather, and a persistent salt-and-pepper finish. Tannins are soft and the palate has good grip without austerity.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eBottled unfiltered as a Vin de France.
