The vineyard sits along the Sacramento River on sandy alluvial soils and is farmed using organic methods, with CCOF certification in process. Grapes were foot tread and fermented dry on skins for 14 days, giving the wine its salmon-copper hue and light tannic grip.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAfter pressing, the wine was racked into neutral French oak barrels where it aged for 7 months. It was bottled unfined and unfiltered with a single SO2 addition of 25ppm. The result sits in ramato territory: technically a skin-contact white, but pale enough in color to read as a very light red.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eOn the nose, strawberry and rhubarb come through clearly, with dried tea-leaf character emerging on the palate. Acidity is fresh, tannins are light and grippy rather than astringent, and the body stays lean.
