No fining or filtration is applied, and no sulfites are added until bottling.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eCannonau is genetically identical to Grenache and is the most widely planted red variety in Sardinia. In coastal Villasimius, sandy soils and constant sea breezes moderate the variety's naturally high alcohol and amplify its saline, floral character.
