The inclusion of Roussanne as a white grape in this red field blend adds texture and aromatic lift that sets it apart from a conventional GSM-style wine.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eOakstone Vineyard sits in Nevada County within the Sierra Foothills AVA, a mountainous zone where vineyards rarely fall below 2,000 feet elevation. The rocky, granite-based soils here are dry and free-draining, producing small, thick-skinned berries with concentrated flavors.
