The wine is filed under Umbria IGT.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eMarcucci uses a semi-carbonic vinification approach: partially destemmed fruit goes into an open-top fermenter with some whole clusters, fermented with native yeasts and a submerged cap, no temperature control. After fermentation the wine is aged in a vintage fiberglass tank from the 1970s — the same tank depicted on the label, which resembles the Apollo Moon Lander. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with zero added sulfur.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe wine is named NuovO as a nod to Beaujolais Nouveau, applying that early-release, carbonic-maceration logic to Umbrian grapes. At 10.5% ABV it lands on the lighter end of the red spectrum: high-toned, juicy red fruit, lifted floral notes from the Aleatico, and a clean, bright finish driven by Sangiovese acidity.
