These conditions produce wines with more freshness and lift than the Roussillon's typical sun-baked reds. On the nose the wine offers pomelo, fresh citrus, and a faint spicy hazelnut note that gives way to brighter fruit as it opens. The palate is tart and lightly textured, with red-fruit undertones of strawberry and pomegranate and a clean, savory finish.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eLe Clot de L'Origine has been certified organic by ECOCert since 2009 and uses biodynamic practices throughout.
