Why You Should Try It

The Wine: Frauen Power Perlwein 2019

Vin de Lagamba Frauen Power Perlwein 2019 is a sparkling red natural wine made from 100% Dornfelder grapes grown in the Rheinhessen, Germany. This is an undisgorged pet nat, please be careful when opening the bottle, do so on the sink and have a glass ready; open and pour immediately.

The Producer: Vin de Lagamba

I first met Alanna Lagamba as the partner of Martin “Marto” Worner. Canadian by birth, having arrived in Flonheim by way of Berlin, Alanna is now a burgeoning winemaker in her own right. An ebullient personality prone to theatrics, Alanna is the kind of person who stands out in a room, even if the room is full of male German winemakers. In 2019, she made a single, gently sparkling red wine, “Frauen Power”, which is composed of 100% Dornfelder from Martin’s vines. If there’s one thing that keeps me in the natural wine trade, it’s the radical energy of young winemakers like Alanna and Marto. Frauen Power isn’t made from “noble” grapes and doesn’t correspond to any special ancestral tradition of the Rheinhessen. Its vigorous bubbles and brash aromatics are hallmarks of a young winemaker taking big risks to try out insane ideas. And despite all of this - or maybe because of it - it’s hard to drink this wine without smiling. It’s also hard to keep the wine in the bottle for much longer than 10 minutes. (Source: Josh Eubank)

The Region: Rheinhessen

Shipping & Returns

Stress Free Shipping

At Primal Wine we like to be transparent about everything we do. When it comes to buying products online, shipping is the most important aspect, and that’s why we take great care in shipping and handling your order using only 100% recycled packaging material.

Important Compliance Requirements

UPS and other carriers we might occasionally use can only deliver wine to customers who are 21 years or older.

Important COVID Update

UPS and FedEx declared that in order to protect their workers and customers, they no longer require a signature on delivery. This does not mean they will drop a wine box at your door. UPS delivery workers will make sure the person receiving the wine is 21 years or older, and will ask for his/her name - only then do they deliver the package.

Shipping Rates and Options

An important premise: wine bottles are heavy – about 3 pounds each – and shipping is expensive! Primal Wine is not backed by venture capital money – we proudly are a mom and pop independent online store – and we must charge shipping on all orders, otherwise we wouldn’t be in business. However, we try our best to offer you very competitive shipping rates.

Return Policy

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us at (424) 414-2040 or via e-mail at hello@primalwine.com between 9 am and 5 pm Pacific Standard Time, Monday through Sunday, we would like to understand and try to solve your concerns.

We may make arrangements for a return and refund if appropriate, and only after we receive unopened products back to our warehouse.
