It is bottled unfined with no added sulfur. The 2018 vintage shows a deep golden straw color. On the nose: crushed white peach, ripe mango, pear, and exotic florals with lemon-lime zest. The palate is full and silky in texture, driven by brisk acidity and saturating minerality with stone fruit at the core and a saline finish.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eFalanghina Beneventana, the variety used here, is genetically distinct from coastal Falanghina Flegrea. Grown on the calcareous clay and sandstone hillside soils of Monte Taburno at inland Campanian elevations, it produces wines with more structure and acidity than its coastal counterpart. The Beneventano IGT designation covers the entire Benevento province, home to roughly 80% of Campania's Falanghina plantings.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI Pentri takes its name from one of the ancient Samnite tribes that inhabited this inland region of southern Italy. The estate was founded in 2002 by Dionisio Meola and Lia Falato, who brought over 20 years of prior farming experience to the project.
