The wine is aged in stainless steel, then bottled unfined, unfiltered, with no added sulfites and no added yeast. The result sits in an ambiguous color range between deep salmon and copper-orange.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe soils at Monte Mamaor are morainic in origin, a mix of ancient marine deposits and glacially transported sediment including quartz, granite, limestone, and alabaster, all of which register in the wine's saline, mineral character.
