Anders Frederik Steen vinifies this wine on-site in Alsace, in a cellar the Bannwarths dedicated to him, treating the local cellar as part of the terroir itself.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe grapes are hand-harvested and macerated on skins for two to three days before aging four years in old barriques with no topping up. No fining, no filtration, and no sulfur is added at any stage. The result is an oxidative, amber-hued wine with significant texture and complexity accumulated over its extended barrel time.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis is one of Anders Frederik Steen's earliest releases, from his inaugural 2013 vintage, made at the same time he was beginning his collaboration with Jura winemaker Jean-Marc Brignot.
