It is a co-ferment of 50% Syrah, 25% Merlot, 19% Cabernet Franc and 6% Zinfandel. The fruit comes from a vineyard about four miles from the Renaissance Vineyard section that produced earlier vintages, planted in 1990 on red clay of decomposed granite at 1,800 feet with south-west exposure.
