The combination produces a rosé with more structural intrigue than most — pale red in the glass with real tannic presence underneath the fruit.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eBidzinashvili founded Kortavebis Marani in 2013, planting 2.5 hectares in Kakheti with 35 indigenous grape varieties. The estate is located in the village of Gremi within the Kvareli municipality, near the Great Caucasus mountains. Soils are predominantly red clay with white stones. Now 60% of grapes used come from the estate's own vineyards.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eFermentation and aging take place in qvevri, the large clay vessels buried underground that UNESCO recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2013. No sulfites are added.
