The Wine: Cabernet Franc Rose' 2018
Halcyon Cabernet Franc Rose' 2018 is a rose' natural wine from Contra Costa County, California. This wine is a blend of fruit from volcanic-laced Camino Alto in the El Dorado County and the sandy soils of the Campos family vineyard in Contra Costa County, thus the “California” appellation. The first whiff off the glass is unmistakable pepperoncini, followed by poblano pepper and rose petal. The palate is light and refreshing with lush and juicy cherry followed by strawberry and thyme with a subtle tannin structure.
