The Wine: Blackbird 2019
Wild Arc Farm Blackbird 2019 is a rosato style natural wine made from a blend of 50% Noiret and 50% Cayuga farmed sustainably in the Hudson River Region, New York State. As the back label says "this field blend of Noiret and Cayuga was grown on granitic loam in the Hudson River Region, New York State. It was hand-harvested and co-fermented for 4 weeks before being pressed into neutral French oak barrels. Noiret has a distinctive black pepper note, similar to cool-climate Syrah, so the addition of the floral Cayuga was a nod to some of our favorite Northern Rhone Style wines". Blackbird 2018 is unfined and unfiltered.
