The Wine: Native Red Blend 2019
Maison Crochet Native Red Blend is a red natural wine made from a blend of 1/3 Pinot noir, 1/3 Gamay, 1/3 Chardonnay organic grapes grown in Bulligny, Lorraine, France. The vineyards are planted in several locations around Bulligny and Housselmont. The 3 grape varietals are co-fermented. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are destemmed, Gamay is fermented whole clusters – 12-day maceration, then blending free juice and pressed juice. Spontaneous fermentation with native yeast, unfined, unfiltered, no added sulfites. Light to medium body glou glou style fruity red wine, serve slightly chilled.
