The Wine: Le P'tit Barriot 2019
Le Clot de L'Origine Le P'tit Barriot is a white natural wine made from 100% certified organic Syrah grapes grown in Languedoc-Roussillon, Southern France. The Syrah grapes, a red varietal, are vinified in the blanc de noir style – by separating the skins containing the purple pigmentation right after pressing. Spontaneous fermentation with native yeast, minimal addition of sulfites. Serving temperature: 45 F.

Le Clot de L'Origine is a small estate located in Languedoc-Roussillon, Southern France, producing just 35,000 bottles on average each year. Le Clot de L'Origine is certified organic by ECOCert since 2009, one of the first in the area, and is comprised of ten hectares of vineyard plots in five Languedoc-Roussillon municipalities at altitudes between 400 and 1,475 feet (120 and 450 meters). Barriot can work with several terroirs – the plots are in fact characterized by different microclimates as well as soils.
