Why You Should Try It

The Wine: Buvons Pour Des Idees Gamay NV

Château de Grand Pré Buvons Pour Des Idees Gamay NV, is a red natural wine made from Gamay farmed organically in the southern part of Burgundy, Beaujolais region. Spontaneous fermentation, no pump-overs, minimal added sulfites.

The Producer: Château de Grand Pré

Château de Grand Pré is a family estate located in the southern part of Burgundy, in the communes of Fleurie and Villié-Morgon. Louis and Renée Bertrand bought the Domaine in 1972. Today, the winery is run by their children, Guy (with his wife Annick) and Christine (married to Claude Zordan). Their grandson Romain Zordan also works with the family. Together, they tend to the estate vines with complete respect for the environment. The vineyards spread over 8 hectares: 6ha in Fleurie, 1.5ha in Morgon, 1.5ha in Beaujolais Villages. Total production is 30,000 to 40,000 bottles.

Château de Grand Pré is certified organic by Ecocert since 2012. Romain brought natural winemaking practices to the estate. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts only, and very little sulfite is used (5 to 7mg/l). No pumping-over is done, and the wines are bottled without filtration.

The Region: Beaujolais

The Beaujolais wine region is located south of Burgundy. It stretches for about 50km from the town of Mâcon and its characteristic rolling hills to the flatlands bordering the regional capital and world-renown culinary center Lyon on the north.

Beaujolais wine region is split in two by the Nizerand River. The north of the river is where we find the Crus and Beaujolais Villages, whereas south of the river is where Beaujolais and Beaujolais Nouveau are made.

Gamay is the dominant grape varietal of the region giving its best when grown on the granite and sandy clay soils north of the Nizerand River and made into Beaujolais Crus and Beaujolais Villages easy-drinking delicious wines.

There are ten Beaujolais Crus where the best Beaujolais are made: Brouilly, Chenas, Chiroubles, Cote de Brouilly, Fleurie, Julienas, Morgon, Moulin-a-Vent, Regnie, and Saint-Amour.

Shipping & Returns

Stress Free Shipping

At Primal Wine we like to be transparent about everything we do. When it comes to buying products online, shipping is the most important aspect, and that’s why we take great care in shipping and handling your order using only 100% recycled packaging material.

Important Compliance Requirements

UPS and other carriers we might occasionally use can only deliver wine to customers who are 21 years or older.

Important COVID Update

UPS and FedEx declared that in order to protect their workers and customers, they no longer require a signature on delivery. This does not mean they will drop a wine box at your door. UPS delivery workers will make sure the person receiving the wine is 21 years or older, and will ask for his/her name - only then do they deliver the package.

Shipping Rates and Options

An important premise: wine bottles are heavy – about 3 pounds each – and shipping is expensive! Primal Wine is not backed by venture capital money – we proudly are a mom and pop independent online store – and we must charge shipping on all orders, otherwise we wouldn’t be in business. However, we try our best to offer you very competitive shipping rates.

Return Policy

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us at (424) 414-2040 or via e-mail at hello@primalwine.com between 9 am and 5 pm Pacific Standard Time, Monday through Sunday, we would like to understand and try to solve your concerns.

We may make arrangements for a return and refund if appropriate, and only after we receive unopened products back to our warehouse.
